How it Started
Aaron and Morgan met seven years ago at JMU through mutual friends and a bit of fate. Morgan had arrived at JMU for her senior year and Aaron his Junior year, and they both found themselves at the local karaoke & pizza bar formerly known as Brick House. The two were introduced and with a bit of courage and help from friends; the rest is history. Since that day, the couple has been blessed with so many beautiful moments over the last seven years, and they look forward to their wedding day. Before the special day, let’s look back at how we got here.

First Date
Well, does a Club Baseball date party count as a first date? If so, the day after Aaron and Morgan met, Aaron asked Morgan to go to the club baseball date party. The night was not your typical first date, but it allowed Morgan to meet all of Aarons’s friends and broke the ice for many parties to come. The night consisted of lots of dancing, which Aaron and Morgan would soon find out was a love they shared.

JMU Grads
Morgan graduated in the Spring of 2018, and Aaron Graduated in the Spring of 2019. In the year they spent apart, Morgan lived in Arlington, VA, starting her career and spent many weekends visiting Aaron regularly. In 2019, Aaron joined Morgan in Arlington, and they spent the next few years enjoying the area and living with their groups of friends.

Visit Greece
One of Aaron and Morgan’s favorite memories over the past few years was their trip to Greece after Aaron graduated from JMU. They visited Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. This trip was incredibly memorable for them as they started navigating their lives after college. It ignited their love for travel. Since then, they have prioritized travel as much as possible, visiting places like Paris, Ireland, the South of France, California, Chicago, Denver, and more.

Moved to D.C.
After two or three years of living with friends in Arlington, Morgan and Aaron moved to the City and got their first apartment together in Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. With Aaron’s love of the Nationals, they chose a spot with the perfect view of the stadium.

Welcomed Archie
Morgan and Aaron’s hearts grew a little bigger the day they welcomed Archie into their lives. It all began when Morgan convinced Aaron that getting a dog was a must. From the moment Archie joined the family, he has been the love of their lives, bringing joy, cuddles, and endless adventures. He’s truly the perfect addition to their little family.

Moved to Capitol Hill
Achieving the dream of homeownership became a reality when Aaron’s mom helped Morgan and Aaron move out of apartment living and invest in their first home on Capitol Hill. Surrounded by family and the vibrant energy of the neighborhood, they’ve fallen in love with this special place. It’s a home where they hope to create lasting memories and grow together for years to come.

Engaged!
Aaron was determined to pull off the ultimate surprise, which wasn’t easy given Morgan’s sharp instincts. But on March 30th, at Meridian Hill Park, he did just that! Aaron managed to keep his plans a secret and completely surprised Morgan when he popped the question. The moment was perfect, and after Morgan said ‘yes,’ they spent the rest of the day celebrating with friends and family. It was truly an unforgettable day, filled with love and joy.
